Follow the Yellow Brick Road - Backdrops

As part of a freelance project, I created backdrops for a dance production based on The Wizard of Oz. These are to be projected on stage during the dance performances, as well as to transition from one scene to the next. I also created my own brush pack specifically to create the foliage. I was also happy to be able to experiment quite a bit with shaders in blender. Also a lot of procedural animation via noise to give a windy effect.

The cloud text writing itself was done via masking text, having it write itself. Then converting that image sequence into geometry to use as a base mesh for volumetrics. Had lots of fun on this project.
